Vinyasa Power Yoga

(New 2010 Class Schedule Below!)

"A dynamic, strong flowing style of Yoga that strengthens tones and exhilarates the body, mind and spirit"

Over a period of seventeen years of practising and studying with numerous different teachers and styles I have developed a style that it is suitable for newcomers as well as being challenging and exhilarating for experienced practitioners.

I believe that the practise of Yoga ought to be challenging but also within reach of everybody and with this in mind I have carefully selected postures that are within everyone’s reach.

Each pose works on a specific physical, energetic and metaphysical aspect of the practitioner and the overall sequence of poses develops:

• Upper Body Strength and Toning
• Core Strength and Toning
• Legs and Buttocks Toning and Shaping
• Overall Flexibility
• Improved Heart and Lung Capacity
• Increased Self Confidence
• Emotional Stability
• Improved Balance
• Exhilaration of Spirit
• Increased Vitality
• Peace of Mind

Each preceding posture flows smoothly and effortlessly into the next creating an unbroken flow of movement and breath so that the practise becomes a flowing meditation uniting mind, body and spirit.

This style becomes "addictive" to the practitioner and if they don’t practise for some time they find that there is something “not quite right” with how they are feeling.

The reason for this is that through doing regular practise the practitioner opens up and balances out the energy flow through the seven major chakras as well as the twelve major meridians of the body.

When the chakras and meridians are open and functioning correctly there is a profound feeling of wellbeing that is felt by the practitioner which is difficult to experience without the regular practise.

In order to maintain this new improved feeling of wellbeing the practitioner must practise on a regular basis otherwise through the normal stresses of day to day life the muscles of the body will begin to contract again restricting the flow of energy throughout the body’s energetic systems.

It is these blockages, should they not be attended to, that will eventually manifest in the body as physical discomfort and/or disease.

I have linked Vinyasa Power Yoga with my passion for Personal Development and assisting people because Vinyasa Power Yoga is a transformative tool of the highest degree.

Any practitioner who does my classes has access to me for advice, guidance or as a sounding board as they move through their transformative process should that be required.

For some people in my classes it is the first time that they have experienced true peace of mind and it is in this peaceful state that a person’s heartfelt desires come to the surface for expression.

Many of us grow up doing what we “think we ought to do” because it makes sense or is a safe route to follow and maybe because “that is what everyone else is doing”.

So we go to college to get a degree and then venture in to the workforce to carve out a safe and secure existence but in doing so we feel uncomfortable and we know there is much more to life but we dull the inner voice and heart’s yearning by keeping busy with endless self imposed ‘duties’, drinking alcohol, smoking cigarettes, taking drugs or losing ourselves in video games or television.

One of the greatest statements I have ever heard was in a book written by Barbara Hand Clow, “The Pleiadien Agenda”......

“Television? Get your own vision!”

It is through the regular practise of Vinyasa Power Yoga that many people are able to quieten their minds enough that finally they “see their own vision” for the first time. And lot of the time their own “vision” (their heart’s desire) is not what they are currently living.

In becoming intimate with what it is they truly want for their lives a practitioner will set about manifesting the life of their dreams whether they are conscious of it or not.

Once their own vision has been “envisioned” there will be no turning back no matter how hard they may wish to cover up what it is their heart yearns for.

If the practitioner is already living the life that they truly resonate to regular practsie will further develop the inner love, joy and peace to deeper and more profound levels.

Anyone who is resonating to the energy of love, joy and peace is a beacon of light to anyone who comes into contact with them and they subconsciously inspire others to seek that same high vibration themselves.

This is the greatest gift anyone can provide the world and is the ultimate goal of the regular practise of Vinyasa Power Yoga.

Wishing you a life filled with love, joy and peace.
